ED DALE VIDEO: How TO USE TWITTER FOR BUSINESS - FEATURING RICHARD INK
Internet Marketing Phenom Ed Dale created a video on "How-to Use Twitter For Business". To my surprise, Ed used my blog RICHARDink.com as an example!
The Video:
When I first caught wind of the video via a tweet from Ed, I just thought Ed was making a quick point and mentioning my blog as I watched the first few minutes. I had no idea he was going to showcase it for the entire 15 minutes! Thanks Ed for noticing my hard work. I really appreciate it.
The funny thing is: As an internet marketer, copywriter, designer and former marketing/advertising firm owner, I take marketing quite serious, and would consider it one of my top passions. I have been also taking Ed's advice for almost two years now, through his videos and I was even a student participant in The Thirty Day Challenge in the past. So Ed, in essence, you are really just admiring some of your own work! ;)
The Meeting:
This video release ultimately led to Mr. Dale and myself having breakfast last Friday morning in Manhattan Beach at The Kettle (Manhattan Beach Blvd and Highland Ave.) located on a hip and cultural beach strip of coffee houses about 200 yards from the shoreline and only six miles south of LAX where Ed had just gotten off a 14 hour flight. (It's no wonder why he ate that breakfast burrito so fast! You would of too after 14 hours of airplane peanuts.) My Mom used to work at the Kettle when I was a wee lad, and I haven't been there in at least 25 years. It's a nice little spot -- and the coffee was pretty darn good!
We had a wonderful time discussing new marketing trends, good ol' Gary Halbert, and of course music and guitars! We learned we both had a lot in common -- we are even the same birthsign (Aries).
I've always been a big fan of Ed and his work and was very honored when he contacted me to have breakfast with him. It was honestly one of the most engaging meetings I've ever had. And quite surreal considering I have been face-to-face with Ed in his videos for almost two years (probably about 50 hours worth) -- so when he was sitting in front of me, it felt as if I had known him all this time!
Ed's Pens:
When Ed contacted me about having a meet-up, he asked me to custom create him one of my handcrafted fountain pens and an artisan pencil which you can view in the two posts below this one.
Thanks again Ed, your a helluva great guy, I look forward to seeing you again real soon mate!
Good Times!
RM
